Identify Anything AI

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 24, 2026

Identify Anything AI helps users identify visible objects using camera or photo input and optional AI analysis. This policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and which third-party services process it.

Information We Collect

How We Use Information

We use information to provide object identification, optional follow-up answers, account sign-in, scan history, support, security, and app reliability. Account creation is optional and scanning is available without an account.

Third-Party Services

AI Analysis Consent

Before any image or chat text is sent to OpenAI, the app shows an in-app consent prompt that explains what is sent and why. You can decline and continue using the app without AI scanning. Your account email is not sent with scans.

Camera and Photos

Camera access is requested only when you open scanning features. Do not scan sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or confidential information.

Data Retention and Deletion

We do not operate our own server to permanently store scanned images. Local scan history remains on your device until you delete it. Optional Firebase account data remains until you delete your account in Settings.

Important Limitations

AI identification results may be inaccurate or incomplete. The app is not a medical, legal, financial, safety, emergency, or professional advice tool. Verify important decisions with a qualified expert.
